How can it be used?
This policy has met the national safeguarding in sport standards and can be used a template for any organisations child protection policy. Its content and structure covers all the aspects required in a child protection policy and could be applied by organisations such as local authorities and clubs. If you are looking to develop you own child protection policy this document can be adpated to suit your organisation.
These guidelines aim to promote good practice and to encourage a proactive response to supporting children to manage their own behaviour. They suggest some strategies and sanctions which can be used and also identify unacceptable sanctions or interventions which mustneverbe used by
staff or volunteers. The guidelines will also include the views and suggestions of children.
