In conjunction with NGBs, Local Authorities and Education partners, Sport Across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent are working towards the introduction of the Staffordshire Coach Database.This will be open to all coaches, living or working in the Staffordshire area, who have met a set of minimum operating criteria.We anticipate that this database will help to raise the profile and standards of coaching in this area.
Sport Across Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Coaches Conference 2008
The 2008 Coaches Conference will be held on Sunday 12th October 2008 at the Sir Stanley Matthews Sports Centre, Staffordshire University, Stoke-on-Trent.
This all day event will contribute to greater recognition of the work of voluntary and paid coaches across Staffordshire and will add another tier of structured personal development opportunities for coaches in line with the aspirations of the Partnership coaching strategy.
The Community Sports Coaches Scheme continues to grow despite being in its third year of delivery. Sport Across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent has successfully accessed its full regional funding allocation following another application to Sport England in 2006. The Partnership now has funding for the equivalent of 59 full and part time coaches that are working for a diverse range of Partners.

Coaching Conference 2007
Sport Across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent County Sports Partnership, together with NGBs, Education Partners, Local Authorities, sports coach UK and Staffordshire University held the first Sport Across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Coaching Conference on Sunday 29th April at Staffordshire University, Stoke-on-Trent Campus.
