Disability Roadshow offers help for Families Families from Staffordshire are being urged to join the launch of a disability roadshow on Wednesday 25th August.
The Equipped for Life event aims to provide a lifeline for families who have disabled youngsters and are struggling to get the advice and support they desperately need.
It will be at the Moat House, in Stoke-on-Trent, on Wednesday 25th August, where a number of specialists will be offering free support and advice.

“Supporting Children and Young People with Autistic Spectrum Disorder”
This practical course has been written specifically for Childcare Workers, Leisure Workers and Foster Carers

ROTARY DISTRICT DISABLED SPORTS FUN DAY
Introduction Our Rotary District have organised the above for several years. The aim is to entertain those with physical and learning difficulties and the ages of those attending are from 10/11 upwards with no upper limit
Date and Venue The Fun Day will be held on Sunday 5th September from 9.30 until 1.00/ 1.30 at the Sports Centre of Staffordshire University (Beaconside), Weston Road, Stafford. The venue will be signed on the day
Activities There will be varied and interesting activities including Skittles, Table Tennis, Basket Ball, Penalty Shoot Out, Boules etc. to conclude the day there will be a presentation and all those taking part will receive a certificate
Transport and refreshments Those organisations attending provide their own transport and carers but there will be plenty of Rotarians at the event to organise the sports and games. Refreshments are not provided but there are drinks machines available. A number of organisations bring their own refreshments
Cost The event is completely free and we will consider making a contribution towards the costs involved with regard to transport, carers, refreshments etc
