ACCESS Across Staffordshire Funding Scheme Launched
Thanks to the success of inspirational projects that have gone through this funding scheme, the County Sports Partnership is making a further £5,000 available for individual awards of up to £500 through its ACCESS Across Staffordshire scheme.
SASSOT would like to encourage you to put forward any potential projects that will help to address inequality in sport.
What ACCESS Across Staffordshire Funding Scheme?
This funding scheme is designed to support projects which enable widened access to sport for the county’s under-represented groups including:
Women and Girls
Disabled People
Black Minority Ethnic Communities
Low Socio-Economic Groups
What Projects Does It Target?
The ACCESS Across Staffordshire Fund is open to Local Authorities and National Governing Bodies of Sport, School Sports Partnerships, other relevant agencies and non for profit organisations who require financial assistance to support or develop a new project which has an equalities theme and fits into one of the following categories:
Club Development
To increase the opportunities for under-represented groups to access sports clubs.
To initiate work towards EFDS accreditation standard
To develop new clubs / teams
Workforce and Volunteer Development
Increase the training opportunities for under-represented groups
Up skill the knowledge of the existing workforce on engaging with under- represented groups
Increasing volunteering opportunities
Marketing & Communication
To raise the profile of under-represented groups participating in sport and physical activity
To develop a ‘one stop shop’ for opportunities available for under- represented group
