Inclusive Cycling Sessions
As part of the Wolverhampton Cycle Champions Project (funded by the Big Lottery and CTC), an inclusive cycling session specifically targeting disabled people will be launched on Wednesday 30th March. Running every 2 weeks sessions will operate from Aldersley High School from 5pm – 7pm.
Sessions will be open to anyone 18+ irrespective of whether they have experience of riding a bike or not, cycle trainers will be on hand to provide advice on riding techniques, safety and to ensure the sessions are both fun and enjoyable.
There are a number of bikes available which have been adapted to enable those with a disability to take part in the session, which include bikes which can be operated using either the upper or lower body. These bikes will be available for each session.
Anyone attending the session who requires assistance on and off bikes will need to bring a parent, carer or friend etc to assist as cycle trainers are not insured to provide this specific support.
If you would like to book onto the session or require further information please contact: Beccy Marston (CTC Wolverhampton Cycle Champions Development Officer) – 01902 554755/07717731927 or email: beccy.marston@CTC.ORG.UK
