Funding
Community Wellbeing Fund
Small local community groups, faith groups, clubs, Parish Councils, village halls and other organisations are invited to submit an application for funding to the Community Wellbeing Fund to deliver local community-based preventative projects.
The overall aim of the scheme will be to improve the health, independence and wellbeing of older people and vulnerable adults.
The £1million Fund will be available over the next four years from 1st April 2010, with £250,000 allocated per year.
Applications should be targeted at one or more of the following older people and vulnerable adult groups:
People with physical or sensory disabilities / long term conditions and their carers People with a learning disability and their carers People with mental health / emotional wellbeing needs and their carers Vulnerable older people / lone pensioners and their carers.

True Colours Trust
The True Colours Trust aims to focus on the major barriers and challenges expressed by families, children and young people with complex disabilities and/or life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. They work closely with organisations that share their ambitions to bring about sustained change both at a policy or practice level.
They hope to provide
Support for organisations leading the way in developing services and opportunities for children and their families
Raising the profile of the siblings of disabled children and services to meet their needs
Raising the profile of disabled children and their families with central and local government
The Trustees are particularly keen to support:
Hydrotherapy pools
Multi sensory rooms
Mini buses
Young carers projects
Sibling projects
Bereavement support
