About the Common Toileting Difficulties parent seminar

help! Common Toileting Difficulties is a one day Family Support Seminar and provides

information and advice to families of children who have Autism. The seminar is specifically aimed at those parents/carers with children aged up to 18 years of age who have a diagnosis of autism (including Asperger Syndrome).

The seminar will support families to;

Consider how having autism can lead to various toileting difficulties
Discuss the general process of toilet training
Look at difficulties that children with autism may experience regarding toileting: including constipation, smearing, fear of using the toilet and the sensory issues associated with this
Suggest tips and strategies to help minimise the problems
Provide a help! resource pack of information

Families seminar - £30 per two family members

Families can book two places on a one day help! Common Toileting Difficulties seminar for £30

which includes a full resource pack of useful information, advice and support guidelines. help! is delivered by experienced and trained professionals of The National Autistic Society (NAS).

help! Teen Life is a one day Family Support seminar and provides information and advice to parents and carers of young people with autism. The seminar is aimed at parents of young people aged between 11 to 16.

The seminar will support families to;

Autism in the teenage years
Education and transition
Accessing local authority support
Benefits now and in the future
Things to think about in the teenage years
Provide a help! resource pack of information

help! First Steps is a one day Family Support Seminar which provides information and advice to parents and carers of children aged between 5 and 11 who have received a recent diagnosis of autism (including Asperger Syndrome).

The seminar will support families to;

Develop an understanding of autism
Discuss experiences of getting a diagnosis
Identify how autism can affect families
Explore practical ideas for developing communication strategies
Clarify support that families may be entitled to and ways to access this
