Sportshall Saturday 26th November 2011 Special Olympics Stafford is hosting our 5th annual “Sportshall” event at Fenton Manor Sports Centre on Saturday 26th November 2011 – 09:30a.m. – 3 p.m. It is proposed that athletes arrive at the venue between 09:30 – 10:00 a.m. for registration. Closing date for entries is Saturday 29th October 2011.
The following is the proposed events for the day : - 09:30 - 10:00 registration
Field Events : AM
Track Events : PM
The top three competitors from each group will count towards the total score, at the end of each event. The morning events all competitors will take part, (if they wish), entering into each of the field events. In the afternoon relays will be by abilities, with three categories as follows:
The event is intended to be a “FUN” day, there are however rules that will be applied by UK Athletics Technical Officials. If you have any dispute with the official please refer these to the Event Director, whose decision in the event of any disputes is final.
Photography will be taking place at the SPORTSHALL event, in agreeing to participate in this event, it is on the understanding that your athletes, parents or carers give their permission to have any photographs taken and used for publicity purposed.
The cost will be £6 per athlete. Cheques made payable to Special Olympics Stafford. Send your completed entry form to Clive Gibson, 16 Salisbury Road, Stafford ST16 3SF or email clive.gibson@live.co.uk . Closing date for entries is Saturday 29th October 2011.
Fenton Manor Sports Centre operates a cafe / snack bar, providing hot and cold snacks. If people do not wish to access the cafe/snack bar, it is advisable for you to bring sandwiches and drinks on the day. It is request you bring sufficient drinks, as we may not be able to provide refreshments.
