Welcome to this edition of the Disabilit-e newletter. Since the last edition we have had two fantastic Family Fun Days with over 160 people attending over both days. There was a fantastic turnout at both days and the feedback has been extremely positive.

I know there have been some concerns around Aiming High services coming to an end. This is not the case. Aiming High will shortly be announcing all of the providers for the coming 12 months. These will be made up of existing providers as well as some new ones. The level of applications were very high so it will mean that we should have some excellent provision around the County in a range of activities.

It is also worth mentioning that applications for Paralympic tickets closes on 26th September. This is a fantastic opportunity to see world class disability sport. So if you haven't booked your tickets yet I urge you to do so. Having competed in a Paralympics I can safely say that is one of the best experiences of my life and it is an amazing showcase that not many get to be a part of.
