Disability Sport Forums

The provision of Disability Sport within the County is very important to numerous people. So much so that the number of Disability Sport Forums has risen from 2 active groups this time last year to 6 active groups.

 

All of these groups operate within there own borough and focus on local issues and the development of disability sport within those areas.

 

These pages focus on each of the groups and allow for minutes and agendas to be shared at a wider level.

 

Each of these groups are always looking for new members who have a an interest in the development of disability sport.

 

Groups currently operate in:

• Burntwood & Lichfield
• Cannock
• East Staffordshire
• Newcastle
• Stafford
• Staffordshire Moorlands
• Tamworth

We are also currently in the process of setting up groups in:

• South Staffordshire
• Stoke

There is also a group made up of service providers who have either received Aiming High Funding for Short Break provision or have an interest in it. This group looks wider than just sport and is made up of representatives from Sport, Leisure, Arts and Culture.

This group covers all over Staffordshire except Stoke-on-Trent as Aiming High is funded differently in Stoke.
