Scuba was originally an acronym for Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus), although now widely considered a word in its own right is a form of underwater diving in which a diver uses a scuba set to breathe underwater for recreation, commercial or industrial reasons.
Due to the nature of the sport it can be participated by a wide range of disabilities due to the weightless feeling being submerged in water. This feeling can really enable you to forget about your physical limitations.
Although this sport can be of such benefit especially those with restricted mobility there is very little in the way of information about the sport when relating to disability.
The best thing to do is approach your local Scuba Diving club or centre to see if they will cater for your disability.
