Staffordshire Moorlands District Council

Chase Sports Council Club Scholarship Scheme

The Chase Sports Council recently received funding from Cannock Chase Council to continue to support the Minor Grant Aid scheme and to pilot a similar, Club Scholarship scheme – providing up to £750 of funding to clubs who support the provision of activities for young people along with other objectives identified in the group’s Business Plan.

At a recent meeting of the Chase Sports Council it was decided to offer this opportunity to clubs who have, through their attendance at meetings,

actively supported the group and wished to extend participation to apply for one of the Club Scholarship; Cannock Town Ladies Football Club received a grant for £750.00 to develop a new Under Tens team and to buy new equipment and kit.

Priority was given to those clubs who have achieved accreditation through their National Governing Body (NGB) or Sport England’s Clubmark, however, we would strongly encourage clubs who are working towards, or committed  to working towards, accreditation were also invited to apply.
