Cannock Chase Football Development Group score with Football Foundation grant
The Cannock Chase Football Development Group was set up 12 months ago. The aim behind the group was to provide a focused and co-ordinated approach to the development of football in the District.
Footballers in Cannock Chase celebrated following a £8,160 grant awarded by the Football Foundation, the UK’s largest sports charity.

The cash bonanza will allow Cannock Chase Football Development Group to develop a pool of fully FA qualified coaches to deliver a number of coaching sessions enabling local clubs to create new teams and further develop school-club links.
The Football Foundation is dedicated to revitalising the grass roots of the game, constructing modern football facilities, developing football as a force for social cohesion and as a vehicle for education in communities throughout the country. Funded by the Premier League, the Football Association and the Government, the Football Foundation is the nation’s largest sports charity with a £45m budget going straight into
the heart of football.
