New funding opportunities now open

 

 

If you need to raise funds for your club - there are new funding opportunities up for grabs now.

 

Mars Refuel Returns

 

An easy opportunity to grab £500 for your club is still open but not for long! Mars Refuel is a brilliantly easy way to apply for £500 for ANY PROJECT that helps your sports  club members ‘play longer’. 

The fund is open until 31st  May this year and the application form is about as simple as they get, and all managed on-line.

Ford Britain Trust  

 

Car manufacturer Ford have been running their Ford Britain Trust for a number of years and now run two grant programmes;

• Small Grants offers up to £250, available 4 times a year, with the next closing date being 1st June.
  
• Large Grants offers amounts from £250 to £3000 twice a year with the next closing date being 1st May.

Unltd Sport Relief Awards

UnLtd Sport Relief Awards provide opportunities for young people to bring communities together, to help them promote understanding and solve conflict through sport and recreational activities.

 

This UK wide funding programme is for 11-21 year olds, who are prepared to go the extra mile and use their passion for sport and other group activities to bring respect and understanding to their communities by setting up their own projects.

 

Funding of £1000 - £10,000 is available for entrepreneurial young people who have great ideas and who want to make a difference under three categories Try it, Shape it, and Do it.

The Dickie Bird Foundation for Disadvantaged Young People

 

Support for individuals to help disadvantaged young people (under the age of 18) to participate in sport, to the best of their ability, in the sport of their choice, irrespective of their social circumstances, culture or ethnicity. Funding is available between £50 and £5,000 and can be used for sports kit, coaching and training.

Hilton Charitable Fund

The Hilton Charitable Fund awards grants to projects both in the UK and in developing countries, with the aim of addressing disadvantage people particularly in support of causes less likely to attract public funding.

 

The fund's current funding priorities in the UK are as follows:

• Homelessness
• Asylum seekers and refugees
• Community-based initiatives for young people aged 16-25
• Penal affairs

Applications are invited from registered charities and other charitable organisations in the UK, although preference is given to charities with an income of less than £200,000 per year.

 

Grants are rarely given to well-funded national charities, as funding is directed largely at supporting work at a community level within the Fund's categories of interest.

 

The Overseas Countries funding programme is designed to help small and medium-sized community development, education and health initiatives.

 

Trustees will particularly welcome projects that address the needs and potential of girls and women.

 

The Fund will be pleased to hear from UK non-governmental organisations/charities and hopes that UK NGOs/charities will encourage their local partners, if appropriate, to apply directly to Hilden for grant aid.
