Sportsmatch - More sports clubs wanted to bid for Sport England funding
With a year to go until the start of the greatest sports festival on earth, Sport England is again encouraging clubs across England to see how they can benefit from the Sportsmatch programme.
Grants of between £1,000 up to £100,000 are currently available through Sportsmatch. For more information on the fund and guidance on gaining sponsorship, please visit the Sportsmatch section of the website or call the funding helpline on 08458 508 508.
The Coalfields Regeneration Trust Grants (Levels 1 and 2)
The Coalfields Regeneration Trust is inviting applications from community and voluntary organisations throughout England’s Coalfield Communities who are contributing to the regeneration of their communities. The Trust’s Level 1 grant Programme is awarding grants from £500 up to £5,000 and will support capital and revenue costs.
Examples of projects or activities that the Level 1 Programme could support include improvements to a community facility and activities that get people involved in physical activity!
The fund has enough funding to support activities up to the 31st March 2013. Applications can be submitted at any time.
The Coalfields Regeneration Trust's Level 2 Grant programme is also open to applications.
Funding is available to voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations for projects that address key funding themes that respond to the needs of coalfield communities, these include health and well-being.
Grants will be between £10,000 and £100,000 and can be used towards capital and revenue costs. To access the Coalfields Community Grants Level 2 Application Form applicants will need to initially discuss their project in detail with one of the Trust’s Programme managers.

Team Donations
Team Donations is a new way for sports clubs to raise money in an easy and up to the minute way!
Team donations works in a very similar way to Just Giving or Virgin Money Giving, it’s free to use, easy to set up and provides your club with its own fundraising webpage.

CASC-Aid
Beat the Tax Man! There are three good ways for sports clubs to beat the taxman - with a big stick, with a squash racket or by becoming a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC)!
The CASC programme has been around for 10 years and they have recently celebrated their 10th anniversary by signing up their 6000th club! Collectively, these CASC clubs have saved over £10,000,000 through a variety of associated benefits!
What’s the point? These benefits include:

The Gift Aid benefit in particular, offers a great opportunity for clubs to come up with novel and innovative ideas to increase club income by 25%.
It is important to note that CASC status is not suitable for every club, indeed some clubs may not be eligible, but the potential benefits are huge and there is a limitless amount of money that can be raised.
