Attacking returns sees Sketchley victorious at ETTA One Star final
Burton Uxbridge Ability Table Tennis Club provided both finalists in an official English Table Tennis Association (ETTA) One Star Junior Standing Disabled competition on Sunday 14 November at Blessed Robert Sutton Catholic Sports College.
Weekly training paid off when Charles Sketchley and Josh Arslam battled out three games with attacking returns and clever use of the entire table resulting in victory for Charles Sketchley.
Head Coach, Duncan Stewart said: “With the help of young sports leaders the club has developed and is now attended by more than 16 young people at Robert Sutton Sports College on Tuesday evenings from 5pm-6.30pm.
“All the youngsters who attend have a great time as well as improving at table tennis which has seen some players progress to perform in junior open ETTA events."
The next ETTA One Star event is on Sunday 20 February 2011.
