Staffordshire Girls U18 Rugby - Midlands Division Champions
Staffordshire Girls U18 rugby squad triumphed at the Midlands Division festival help at Aylestone St James RFC on Sunday 20th November.
The Staffordshire Girls U18’s comprising of players from the Eccleshall and Lichfield clubs won all four matches at the Midlands Festival.
In the opening match North Midlands scored first but Staffordshire replied in the last few minutes with a try under the posts by Emma Biles converted by Sarah Nicholas to clinch a narrow 7-5 victory.

East Midlands were beaten 14-0 with second half tries from Sarah Nicholas & Emma Harbage both converted by Nicholas.
Next the favourites, Notts, Lincs & Derbys, were overcome in a closely contested game.
Staffordshire showed great determination and character after conceding a try in the first half to record another narrow win 7-5 with a try scored by Emma Harbage converted by Nicholas.
Leicestershire were beaten by 19 points scored in the first half with a brace from Chelsey Fuggle, one from Nicholas with the fly half kicking two conversions.
Captain and No. 8 Carys Williams was outstanding for Staffordshire throughout the County Programme, and accepted the Midlands Division trophy for 2011-12 on behalf of the squad.
