Staffordshire Moorlands District Council

Cannock Chase Trampolining Project Springs To Success

Cannock Chase District Council has joined forces with G-Force Trampolining to offer opportunities for young people with access issues to take part in trampolining.  The aim is to provide high quality coaching in trampolining for young people from across the Cannock Chase District, especially those young people who are disadvantaged in some area of their lives.

Funding has been secured through Wallbrook Housing Association, Children’s Fund and the Community Learning Partnership.  This will help to subsidise places, purchase equipment and provide specialist staff training.  All young people taking part in the sessions will have the opportunity to compete in local and national competitions, also to attain medals and certificates appropriate to their level of attainment.

Key to the project has been our partnership work with Special Needs Schools and the Council’s local Leisure Centres, which has allowed us to maximise available resources.

More information is available from Deborah Pearce, Cannock Chase Council, Community Recreation Officer (01543) 425996.
