Staffordshire Moorlands District Council

Staffordshire FA's Disability Centre of Excellence

The Staffordshire FA’s Disability Centre of Excellence u17 and u14 squads travelled to Judgemeadow Community Centre, Leicestershire for the second East and West Midlands C of E fixture date. Each squad played 4 games throughout the day, 2 against Birmingham FA and 2 against Leicestershire & Rutland FA.

Both squads did themselves, their coaches and the travelling parent support proud as they competed to the best of their ability in each and every game. Each team listened to their coach’s advice and tactics and brought into practice what they had learnt in their training sessions, which in turn, helped them play some very entertaining football against strong opposition.

The Centre of Excellence is still recruiting players and is also looking for coaches (minimum Level 2) to work at the centre, if you know of anybody that may be interested please contact the Staffordshire FA’s disability coach Jamie Leaning on 01785 256994 (option 2 then 5), 07800619884 or jamie.leaning@staffordshirefa.com

The squad would like to thank Leicestershire FA for hosting the fixtures and supplying the referees. They would also like to thank Happy Days Coaches for transporting them to and from the fixtures.
