The 'V' Project

Volunteering

Are you:

  • Aged 16-25, have a BME background or are from a refugee migrant community?
  • Do you want to get more involved within the sports sector?
  • Do you want to gain more skills?

Then you could qualify for the opportunities being offered through the Sporting Equals 'volunteering for communities', project which aims to get more people from these communities involved in volunteering in sport.

You will:

  • Develop your interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
  • You can match a role which meets your personal needs and aspirations
  • You will develop competencies in a sports related environment
  • You will gain support from a volunteer centre and organisations offering the opportunity
  • You will gain work experience which can be put onto your CV
  • You will have access to training and development
  • You will become a role model for others
  • This is an opportunity for you to give something back to the community

Opportunities are being offered through clubs & organisations in your area
