Young Aquatics Organiser Award

 

 

The ASA have introduced a new course aimed at young people aged 14 – 19 yrs who are developing their leadership and coaching skills.


The Young Aquatic Organisers Award will provide an insight into the administration, teaching, coaching and/or officiating of aquatic activities.


The Award Aims to:

  • Give young people knowledge of the organisation of the ASA and the clubs that fall within its jurisdiction.
  • Equip candidates with the skills to help plan, deliver and evaluate the running of an aquatic event.
  • Give candidates the opportunity to volunteer within an ASA accredited Swim21 club.
  • Encourage candidates to develop their skills within aquatic sports.

The Award comprises of six units to be delivered using a combination of theory and practical sessions over a period of 10 hours.


This Award is to be delivered by ASA trained personnel and to enable the delivery of the Award in Staffordshire a course to train several Course Presenters has been held by SASSOT at Stafford Civic Centre.
