Get Your Skates On!Roller discos are returning to Fenton Manor Sports Complex on Friday nights!
The centre will host hold two roller disco sessions in its arenas on Friday nights from 6th February. The early skate will be from 6.30pm – 8pm and the late skate will be from 8.15pm – 10pm. A DJ will be at both sessions playing the latest chart music.
The sessions are being run by Jerry McGrath, a former British speed skating champion, who has been holding roller discos at Dimensions Leisure Centre for over 15 years.
Michael Robson, Manager at Fenton Manor Sports Complex says, ‘We’re really excited for the return of the roller disco, it’s really popular at Dimensions and we’re hoping these sessions will attract people in the south of the City. ‘The roller disco will be great for kids and teenagers to come to on a Friday night, to have fun with their mates and listen to the latest music - importantly skating gives the body a great workout so it will also help keep them fit!’
The roller disco will commence on Friday 6th February. One session costs £3.50 per person or £5 for both sessions, skate hire is 50p.
