Grassroots sport finds new voice in English regions
Nine new regional champions have been appointed to act as advocates for community sport in the run up to London 2012.
Two of our Regional Champions for Community Sport have already been out visiting some of the thousands of grassroots projects having a real impact in the community.

£10 million to deliver rural sporting legacy
Sport England has revealed the sports projects that will benefit from a £10 million National Lottery fund to get more people playing sport in rural communities.

Value of Sport Monitor
The Value of Sport Monitor, a joint Sport England and UK Sport initiative, is now available on our website. The Value of Sport Monitor is an online monitoring service of the most up-to-date reference sources and critical reviews of published research evidence on the contribution of sport to a range of broader social, economic and health outcomes.
Market Segmentation Update (February 2010)
Sport England is currently considering options to update and repackage the Sport England Market Segmentation tool, to enable us to refresh the content and develop a delivery method that will meet the needs of our partners. They have completed a consultation exercise with Sports Governing Bodies, Local Authorities, County Sport Partnerships and other previous users of the tool. The next step is procuring the refresh and delivery of the segmentation, with a target of having the updated tool available in Autumn 2010.
Sport Satisfaction Survey: year 2
The second year of the Sport Satisfaction Survey (SQSE2) will soon be underway. The survey provides a detailed picture of satisfaction with the quality of the sporting experience across 46 sports. Ipsos MORI, the independent research company is conducting the survey on behalf of Sport England. Headline results will be available in June 2010.
