Step into Sport induction |
The Staffordshire Moorlands School Sports Partnership held their Step into Sport (SIS) induction for over 70 new sports volunteers in November. The induction was held to give pupils training and information on the scheme and included setting up their own online passport to record hours, workshops on festival organisation, multi-skills and cheerleading for leaders.
The pupils on the SIS can now volunteer their time in schools and sports clubs and accrue hours in exchange for rewards. Zoe Harp the SIS coordinator said “This is a great opportunity for pupils to gain new skills and give something back to the community whilst being rewarded for their time and effort”.
