SSPCT seeks pilot projects |
South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust (SSPCT) are looking for interested parties, who would like to work with the Primary Care Trust through their Health Fit programme, to develop local sport and physical activity opportunities to encourage and support sedentary people to become more active.
The key priorities for these pilots include targeting sedentary adults and new participants to a sport and to deliver sustainable exit routes.
Particular priority sports that have been highlighted are Badminton, Running, Cricket, Football, Bowls and Swimming. Any other sports will be considered.
The attached example of a recent project at Rugeley Progressive Bowls Club highlights how the activity was initially set up, who was involved and the achievements.
If you are within SSPCT's locality (Cannock, East Staffs, Lichfield, South Staffs or Stafford) and would like to find out more, please contact Marie Fitzpatrick by 28th Feb 2011.
