Staffordshire Moorlands District Council

Your game, your say, our goal

Staffordshire FA is pleased to announce the launch of its new strategy for 2008-2012. The strategy has been formulated on the back of an intensive consultation process both through events and online questionnaires and dovetails the FA’s National Strategy.

The strategy is set around four key goals Growth and Retention, Raising Standards, Better Players and Running the Game and three enablers Workforce, Facilities and Marketing and Promotion. All aspects of the game are covered through these areas and should ensure that football in Staffordshire continues to grow and prosper.

Andy Weston, County Development Manager for Staffordshire FA, added “This strategy is for everyone involved in football in Staffordshire. We have some important challenges ahead of us and some key targets to reach by 2012. In order for the game to grow, some of the areas we need to target are improving and building more facilities, the recruitment and retaining of referees, improved behaviour on and off the field and better skill focus of young players. To do this it essential we continue to engage and work with all our key stakeholders to help us achieve our goals.”
