Attention All Accredited Clubs: Positive Activities Website Set To Launch |
Promoting Positive Activities (PPA) Website
The PPA website, www.YouFind.me.uk has been created by Staffordshire Youth Service in partnership with young people's representatives to provide an online activity search for the young people of Staffordshire. The website will act as a one stop shop where young people will be able to find out what is happening in their locality. Details of the venues, activities, costs, times and transport availability are included on the site.
The website is now online for tests and to gather feedback from young people and activity organisers. During the trial period organisers are being invited to go online and input the details of the activities they have to offer. All accredited clubs are invited to place their details on the website ideally by the end of August 2009.
The response to the website so far has been excellent with over 18,000 activities being promoted. A county wide awareness campaign will start in September 2009 followed by an official launch later in the year.
