Resource to support YOU to provide leadership and volunteering opportunities for disabled people – please read on to find out how to get YOUR copy …
Leadership and volunteer opportunities provide a context where disabled people can develop the skills, aptitudes and confidence to play an active role within wider society and in doing so become inspirational figures that challenge peoples perceptions of disability. EFDS want to ensure that this provision continues to evolve and that many more disabled people can benefit from involvement within leadership and volunteering
opportunities.
To support YOU to help make this happen the English Federation of Disability Sport has been working in partnership with the Youth Sport Trust through the East Midlands led project; Inspire to Lead in the production of a good practice guide – ‘‘Developing young disabled people through sports leadership and volunteering’. This resource is aimed at those responsible for the development of sports
leadership and volunteering opportunities. It explores the impact of leadership identify key questions and ideas to develop high quality sports leadership and volunteering opportunities.
