

Fun packed activity programme set for the summer of 2009 and the Pitch project proves inspiring for Olympics |

This year's FUN PACKED Summer Holiday Programme in East Staffordshire is now available for you to enjoy.
There are 32 pages of activity spanning over 60 venues throughout the whole of the Borough of East Staffordshire. There are activities every day and evening sessions also to keep our young people healthy and happy!
The brochure has been put together by Emma Gilbert, Sports Development Officer, on behalf of our twenty-three partners who attend either the Community Sport and Physical Activity Network- East Staffs United or our Play East Staffs Partnership.
Hopefully the weather will do us proud this year!

Able Too Games 2009
The Able Too Games is on Saturday 12th September 2009 at Meadowside Leisure Centre commencing at 9.30am – 4.30pm.
The Able Too Forum is an independent, constituted body established to “increase opportunities for people with a disability to take part in and reach their full potential in a range of sports and activities.
The majority of people taking part in the Able Too Games are aged between 6 and 19 years from a wide range of backgrounds and with a range of disabilities. The intended outcomes for these people are as follows:
Volunteers from local disability gateway clubs and Fountain Special School will also be supervising during the day.

Pitch participants include Paul Sharp, Pitch line marker who is based at Shobnall Leisure Complex, Jan Dingley of the Women’s Washlands Runners, Roy Burton FA Referee and Nigel Wildes of Cycling 2000.
The artists involved are have all worked within the Brewhouse including Ian Talbot, local sculptor, Adam Stancer, acrylic painter, Natalie Hinchley, Photographer and Alistair Kennedy, visual artist.
