Quest Success for Community Wellbeing Team
Cannock Chase Council’s recently renamed Community Wellbeing Team (formerly Sports Development) achieved an amazing score of 90%
in their recent Quest assessment. This saw an 11% improvement on the score of two years ago, putting the team firmly in the ‘Excellent’ category.
Quest is the leisure industry’s quality mark on which development teams and facilities are judged, covering a range of areas from health and safety to service delivery. The score of 90% means the team is one of the top scoring in the country and the number one scoring team in Staffordshire.
Quest is used to help measure the effectiveness of the service, ensuring value for money and a commitment to continuous corporate improvement.
This year’s Chase It! summer activity scheme for young people is a great example of the Community Wellbeing Team’s work, targeting children, young people and families with a range of access issues, including low income and disability. The team also secured external funding from ‘Aiming High’ which will be used to support individuals with more complex issues on the Chase It! scheme.
