sported. launches new Small Grants Scheme
sported. has recently launched a brand new funding stream aimed to provide increased support to our Members in the West Midlands.
sported. has now been active in the sport for development sector since 2009 and will be nationwide in the UK by 2012. sported. are committed to continuously developing our services according to the needs of our membership and are therefore launching this new grant scheme to support our Members not currently receiving one-to-one Mentor support.
Funding is available exclusively to sported. members and is available to those who are not benefitting from sported.’s one-to-one Mentor support and main grants programme.
The new Small grants programme allows Member organisations to apply for grants up to the value of £2000, with the aims to build on the existing business support and access to business resources offered by sported. to its Member organisations.
Applications for Small Grant funding will only be accepted from sported. Members who meet the following eligibility criteria:
You are a registered Member of sported. and have an active dialogue with your Regional Manager
You are based in one of sported.’s active regions for the Small Grants scheme (West Midlands, London, South East, South West or Yorkshire and Humber)
You have a constitution and management committee in place for your organisation with a chair person, treasurer and secretary as a minimum
You have all relevant organisational policies in place such as Child Protection, Health & Safety & relevant Insurance documents
You have an annual turnover of £50,000 or less
You have financial procedures in place and a bank account with a minimum of two signatories
Applications can be made by contacting the West Midlands Regional Manager who will send out an expression of interest form for your organisation to complete.
Please note that Small Grants funding will be available on a rolling programme and the grant assessment panel will meet on a quarterly basis.
