Staffordshire women's rugby rocks

 

 

 

Staffordshire players have once again demonstrated their talent and commitment to women's rugby having achieved some excellent results during the 07/08 season.... 

 

 

These achievements include:- 

• 20 senior players, 5 Under 18 players and 12 Under 15 players were selected to the West Midlands Regional Squads
• The Senior and Under 18 Regional Squads won the overall titles and the Under 15 Regional Squad came 9th out of 12 teams
• Lichfield Ladies RUFC also continue to deliver outstanding players with 1 player being selected for the England 6 Nations Squad, 4 players selected for the England A team and European Championships and 3 players selected for the England Under 20 squad

 

These performances have provided a splendid conclusion to the first year of the new women's rugby programme and will provide a solid base from which to further develop the women's game during 08/09.
