Gladiators...Ready?
Outdoor adventure ropes course, Aerial Extreme, launches a campaign this week to find the region’s best ‘Gladiators’ to take part in a gruelling inter-county Gladiator challenge in Trentham on Saturday 4th July.
Site management are looking for five representatives each from Stoke-on-Trent, Crewe & Nantwich, Derby and Stafford to come together in a battle of the fittest and fastest and take part in the ultimate ‘Clash of the Titans.’ Each town will be competing for the 2009 title plus fantastic prizes.
Aerial Extreme’s Annual Summer Sizzler featuring ‘The Gladiator Challenge’ consists of a day for the family that will include a free BBQ and kids entertainment that will finish with the Gladiator Challenge at 5pm.
“This is a competition for people of all ages and abilities; often the fastest contestants are the youngest so we want to encourage everyone to enter,” said Site Manager Alex Dick. “The entire day will be a big thank you to our customers and the chance to meet new faces, plus have lots of fun!”
The Gladiator Challenge will consist of all 20 contenders jumping from the 40ft freefall jump with a container of water. The 10 with the most amount of water in the container when they reach the bottom will go through to the next challenge – the time trial. All 10 will have to complete the ropes course in the fastest time, hindered by the course’s very own Gladiators trying to slow them down. The three with the quickest times will go through to the grand final – the eliminator, where they will be pursued by a Gladiator. The contestant that reaches the furthest distance on the course will be the ultimate winner!
To enter, email your:
As long as you reach 1.4m in height, there is no minimum age to enter. The course will be open through the majority of the day and is currently taking bookings. The BBQ will start from 4pm.
Spectators will be encouraged to join in and cheer for their favourite plus bring their own water pistols.
The event will also be in support of the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice, Aerial Extreme’s chosen charity for 2009-2010.
