Staffordshire Moorlands District Council

The 'Chase It' young persons summer activity programme

The programme is run by Cannock Chase Council and its partners and is supported by the Children’s Fund and Community Learning Partnership.  Its aim is to enhance social skills and personal development, increase confidence and raise levels of self esteem whilst developing a sense of achievement.  The programme also aims to deliver a “healthy lifestyles” message to all children and young people who take part.

Some children may even be eligible for free places on some activities if they are:-

  • Children with a disability/special needs
  • Children with mental health issues
  • Children whose families are on income benefits
  • Children who are members of, or have links with, the following organisations:-

Barnardos, Sherbrook School, Family Focus, Family Support Team, Jigsaw, Mencap, National Children’s Home, British Dyslexia Association, Parent Direct, Scope, Social Services, Street Wardens, Hednesford Valley High School or Young Carers.
