Anglesey Community Games
Sport East Staffs, inspired by the London 2012 Olympics, have created a brilliant Community Games event to bring the community together. Anglesey Ward, a multi cultural community, will host the games. It will be a great day for all the family, with a range of games and it’s all free!
The Community Games will be a fun filled day to which all of the community are welcome to come and enjoy. The event is going to be held at Queen Street Community Centre and on the surrounding areas from 10.00am until 4.00pm on Saturday 24th July 2010.
There will be a range of traditional games and also the opportunity to try more diverse events such as riding the rodeo bull and a knitting competition. All are welcome to come along and join in, or just simply come and watch.
We will also be holding a 'Queen Street’s got talent' which anyone can apply to enter by contacting the Sports Development Team on the number below.
Also available on the day is the chance to come along and try different cuisines, as all cultures are cordially invited to bring various foods to offer to the public. If you are interested in bringing food along with you then please contact Kirsty at Sports Development on 01283 505917 or email kirsty.smith@eaststaffsbc.gov.uk
