Burton upon Trent - Sport Relief
Sunday 16th March saw Burton upon Trent hold its second Sport Relief event. The wet and windy British weather didn’t stop the 400 participants of all ages, and abilities turning out to tackle the 1, 3 or 6 mile run.
All participants gave 100% effort counting their 4, 12 or 24 laps of the athletics track, due the original course being waterlogged.
Sporting Champion, athlete James Hillier, started each of the 4 waves, and handed out Sport Relief goody bags to all finishers.
Many "milers" turned out in an array of fancy dress costumes to add to the atmosphere.
A fun day was had by all with the bonus of raising plenty of money for Sport Relief.
