Kingsmead Community Learning Partnership - Youth Project

 

Funding (£7,400) has been provided by the Kingsmead Community Learning Partnership for the Council’s Sports Development Team to provide a range of physical/leisure based activities.  It has also helped to fund additional hours for our Community Recreation Officer to co-ordinate the programme.  Working closely with the Staffordshire Youth Service, the project has targeted those young people most in need of our support, whilst tackling a range of cross cutting issues.
 

Funding has been used to help support:- 

• Go-karting day
• Trip to Waterworld
• Outdoor pursuits
• Arts based project (mural) 

The scheme ran as a pilot project and has been a tremendous success.  It is hoped that similar schemes will be initiated in all the District’s Community Learning Partnerships.
