What does 'England' mean to you?
Commonwealth Games England, one of Sport England’s national partners, has launched a photography competition aiming to capture England, and what it means to the public, on film. This could be anything from historic landmarks to traditional games in the park and sporting events.
Celebrating all things English ahead of the Commonwealth Games later this year, winning images from the ‘We are England’ competition will be on display at London’s SW1 Gallery from 21 – 25 April. The deadline for entries is 5pm on 9 April.
£3.54m investment will help get more adults with disabilities playing sport
Sport England is investing over £3.5m into disability sport to improve the quality and quantity of opportunities for disabled people to participate. The funding will focus on new integrated approaches to sport, creating the right environment for increased participation in disabled sport. A further £8m has been promised over the next two years.
