

Girls' and Women's Football Week |

Starting on Friday 1st April 2011 and running through to Tuesday 12th April 2011, the Staffordshire FA will be holding a week of action to celebrate Girls' and Women’s football in the County. The week will include a number of events and activities for new and current participants to get involved with, as well as celebrating and thanking all players, coaches, volunteers, parents and officials who support the Girls' and Women’s game every week.
The week is also being supported by Walsall Football Club and Port Vale Football Club who will be hosting celebration events at their home matches during the week.
The week will kick off with the Women’s teams in the County playing their matches in the Staffordshire County Women’s League, Regional League and Midland Combination League on Sunday 3rd April. Following this, the week will include a new women’s football centre starting, Under 8’s festivals and Primary Schools Competitions, College football, Staffordshire’s newest girls County Cup competition, the Under 18s Final will be held with the week’s final activities being held at Walsall FC and Port Vale FC.

A mascot competition is currently running for two lucky winners to have the opportunity to lead out Port Vale FC or Walsall FC at their home matches and there are also ticket offers available for every one to attend the match at a discounted rate.
