WOULD-BE golfers in the Burton upon Trent area of Staffordshire are being offered the perfect chance to give the sport a try.
Branston Golf and Country Club is staging a free open weekend on Saturday and Sunday, April 9/10.
On offer will be:

Says Richard Odell, Branston Golf and Country Club Director of Golf: “The weekend is open to all ages and our 9-hole course, with its four different tee positions on each hole, offers a great way to get into golf, whether you are a junior just starting out or someone older who wants to try playing.
“Our staff will be on hand to offer advice on the options available for anyone interested in learning new skills, playing more golf or becoming club members.”

Branston Golf and Country Club has an 18-hole par 72 championship course situated alongside the River Trent, a 9-hole par 30 academy course featuring four tee positions for each hole and a 22-bay floodlit driving range. A STAFFORDSHIRE club is holding a special open day aimed at female golfers.
The free event will provide an opportunity for ladies and girls to give the sport a try or improve their golfing skills.
The open day is being organised by The Golf Academy at Greenfield Golf Club at Fordhouses, near Wolverhampton, on Saturday, April 9, from 1.30pm, and includes a free buffet.
Greenfield Golf Club is small and friendly club, located just off junction two of the M54, offering great value memberships for less than £20 per month for unlimited golf.
It is a short 18-hole golf course with holes ranging in length from 100 yards to 300 yards and is suitable for golfers of all ages and abilities.
It is especially attractive to ladies because of its shortened length, friendly members, relaxed atmosphere and equal playing opportunities for all.
