National Go Canoeing Week 2011
National Go Canoeing Week 2011
30th April - 8th May
Would you like to have a go at canoeing?
Come and have a go!
During National Go Canoeing Week 2011 a number of Canoe England Clubs and Centres are running Go Canoeing Days for absolute beginners - you don’t need any experience, kit or special skills and it is suitable for everyone from 8 years old to 80 years old!
Canoeing is a great activity, for everyone, you can relax in a boat and view nature in the surrounding area or you can make it a real challenge and use it as a work out. There are lots of different types of canoeing which means there will be something for everyone's personal taste and ability.
To celebrate 75 years of the British Canoe Union, Canoe England aim to get 75 events happening during this week. Dates and details to be published soon.
Please note: Clubs are run by volunteers; therefore not all clubs will be running these sessions during this week. But all of our clubs/centres are friendly and keen to help and may be offering Go Canoeing sessions at different times in the year, please see following link: http://www.canoe-england.org.uk/clubs-i-centres/go-canoeing-days/.
If there are no events in your area but you are keen to take up the sport have a look where your nearest club or centre is at the link below and get in touch with them:
