The Big Grassroots Football Survey...
Players, coaches and the football workforce throughout Staffordshire can again have their
say on the future of the grassroots game locally by taking part in a new online survey.
For the fourth consecutive year, Staffordshire FA
is targeting grassroots stakeholders to voice their opinions on subjects such as The FA’s work at a local level and the highly publicised RESPECT programme via The FA’s Big Grassroots Football Survey.
County FA Chief Executive, Brian Adshead commented: “Our football workforce has shaped The FA’s National Game Strategy which resulted in a four year investment worth £220m across the country from The Football Association.
“Last year, 76% of our stakeholders thought we were doing a good job of promoting and developing the grassroots game in the county. Once again, we’re looking for the voice of local football people to tell us how we’re doing, also importantly, we want to know what people involved in the game think still needs to be done to keep the grassroots game heading in a positive direction.
“The National Game Strategy has seen the decline in 11 aside football halted, participation in many areas is up, the numbers of referees and coaches has increased and the Respect programme has helped us turn the corner in making the game a more enjoyable environment.
However, we are not resting on our laurels and it is crucial that stakeholders take part in the survey to ensure that we as Staffordshire FA goes from strength to strength with quality football opportunities for all.”
The Big Grassroots Football Survey can be accessed at www.staffordshirefa.com from 14th - 31st March 2011, while hard copies of the survey are also available by contacting 01785 256994.
