Stoke City Girls FA Centre of Excellence Seeks Sponsors
Sponsors are being sought to support the County’s FA Girls Centre of Excellence at Stoke City FC.
The purpose of The Football Association Programme for Excellence is to identify players of outstanding ability and place them in a technical and educational programme designed to produce football excellence in conjunction with personal development. The Girls FA Centre of Excellence at Stoke City offers the opportunity for all females aged 8 – 16 in Staffordshire with the opportunity to become a part of the National Female Programme for Excellence.
The Centre currently has provision for four age groups, Under 10s, Under 12s, Under 14s and Under 16s, totalling over 50 players across all age groups. Trials are held each summer which attract over 200 girls to try and gain a place at the Centre for the following season.
Once selected for one of the squads, the players receive coaching from FA qualified staff and play as part of the West Midlands FA Centre of Excellence fixture programme which includes teams such as Birmingham City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leicester City and Shrewsbury Town.
The Centre is currently looking for a sponsor to support the development programme for the players and support the necessary resources required to enable the Centre to run each year.
If you are interested in sponsoring the Girls FA Centre of Excellence for the 2007/2008 season or beyond and you would like further information, please contact either:
