RFU National Young Leaders Camp 2010

Eighty of the country’s top Young Leaders (16-19) will have the opportunity to further their development at the RFU National Young Leaders Camp and then continue their volunteering by joining their local vRugby team.

We are looking for 80 of the country’s top Young Leaders to further their development at the RFU National Young Leaders Camp and then continue their volunteering by joining their local vRugby team.

What is the National Young Leaders Camp? 

• The National Young Leaders Camp is a three day camp that hosts 80 of the best 16-19 year old young leaders within Rugby Union
• 80 young people from across the country will gather at Nottingham Trent University for three action-packed days from 10th-12th August 2010
• The camp focuses on the development of leadership skills through sport, offering a good blend of practical and theory-based sessions.
• After the Camp, our Young Leaders will go on to join their local vRugby team as Club Activators and lead vRugby projects at their local clubs.

What will I be doing during the Three
Day Camp?

The Camp will be run by staff from the Rugby Football Union and the programme offers a range of leadership activities and workshops, including:

• Running a Club
• Team Building
• Improvised Games
• Rugby Coaching
• vRugby Training
• Rugby Refereering
• Youth at the Table
• Presentation Skills
• Personal Development Plans

There is also time built in for relaxation and evening social activities, co-ordinated by trained staff.

What are the benefits of getting involved?

• Be given branded clothing to wear whilst taking part in the Camp

Stoke-on-Trent RUFC Mini & Juniors Awards Day

On Sunday May 23rd we celebrated the outstanding 2009-2010 season for the Stoke-on-Trent Rugby Club's Minis & Juniors.

Under the guidance of our Mini & Junior Chairman, David Boughey, the coaches led the appreciation for all of Stoke's Mini & Junior players for an outstanding 2009-2010 season.

The club is rightly proud of its players and we are deeply indebted to the parents who support the club each week.
