A successful season for Cannock & Stafford Athletics Club
Cannock & Stafford Athletics Club (AC) once again proved themselves one of the country’s leading clubs for young athletes with excellent results in both the National Young Athletes League and National Junior Athletic League.
In early September, Cannock & Stafford AC took part in the auxiliary finals of the National Young Athletes League, held at Alexander Stadium, finishing 5th against teams from across England, Scotland and Ireland.
In the finals, Cannock & Stafford athletes gained 14 gold medals, 22 silver and 19 bronze as the club once again established themselves as one of the country's leading clubs for young athletes.
The following day, the Cannock & Stafford junior team (U20's) took part in a Midlands Promotion match and finished second to gain promotion to the Premier Division for next season - a superb achievement for a team consisting mainly of under 17 year olds.
