Netball Taster Day
Sunday 28^th November 2010,13.00-16.00

Northwood Stadium, Keelings Road, Stoke-on-Trent

 

Harriers Netball Club have organised the above to increase participation amongst girls aged 8-11 year old.

The day will provide an insight into club netball . Players will learn new skills, play matches, make new friends and hopefully attend future club training sessions.

 

Harriers NC are looking to enter junior netball teams into the Staffordshire County Junior League

Staffordshire County Schools Netball Tournament Results 2010

 

 

The Staffordshire round of 'Eteach National Schools Netball Championships' took place on 6^th and 10^th November 2010.

 

School netball teams from across Staffordshire entered the tournaments, to fight for a place to represent the County in the West Midlands round of 'Eteach National Schools Netball Championships'  on 22^nd January 2011.

 

The winners of the Regional round will represent West Midlands at the National final on 19^th March 2011.

 

In the U14 age group, teams competed at Newcastle-under-Lyme  School on 6^th November.

WINNERS- Newcastle-under-Lyme School

RUNNERS UP- King Edwards VI School, Lichfield

 

On the same day, teams entered in the U16 age group.

WINNERS- Newcastle-under-Lyme School

RUNNERS UP-  Painsley Catholic College, Cheadle

 

7 schools entered this years U19 tournament at Newcastle-under-Lyme School on 10^th November. 

WINNERS- King Edward VI, Lichfield

RUNNERS UP- Walton High School, Stafford

 

Good Luck to the winning teams at the Regional Schools Tournament.

Staffordshire Netball Girls are scouted for West Midlands 2010 squads

 

A number of Staffordshire girls were scouted at the Regional Junior League, Schools Championships and other events and were invited to attend Regional Screening Days/NTL trials  in June and October 2010.

Those in attendance trained and competed against the most talented juniors across the West Midlands to try and gain a place at the Regional Excel Camp.

 

The camp allowed the Regional Scouting team to make the final selections on those who are successful in gaining a place for 2010./11 season in the West Midlands Excel Academy and West Midlands Warriors NTL Squad.

 

Staffordshire's successful girls are:

• West Midlands Excel Academy:

Lauren Beresford, Alex Boughey, Ami Pickerill, Georgia Reade, Lucy Le Page, Lydia Smith and Maisie Blakemore

• West Midlands Warriors (NTL squad)

Charlotte Casserly, Lauren Massey, Rachel Ward and Dominique Ford-Gordon 

• England U19 Squad:

Beth Cobden and Lauren Massey

Congratulations to all those nominated from Staffordshire and good luck to those who were successful during the forthcoming season.
