East Staffordshire Borough Council achieves 87% in QUEST assessment
East Staffordshire Borough Council has been QUEST registered since 2002 where they first achieved a score of 69% since then East Staffordshire Borough Council’s Sports Development Team has gone from strength to strength and is now recognised as one of the top 10Sports Development Teams in the country with an excellent score of 87%.
During the assessment process the assessor described the team as “Impressive; collectively the team work effectively and supportively. The atmosphere was productive; it appears it is rewarding and good fun to be part of this team.” The team scored highly in Planning, Delivery Planning and Procedures, and Health & Safety. With all scores awarded being average or above. The team now plan to improve their marketing as this was deemed their weakest
area.
The score of 87% was well received by the Council’s Chief Executive, Janette McGarry, as she described the result as “absolutely wonderful” and this was backed by the Councillor for Health & Leisure, Cllr Bernard Peters, as he congratulated the team on the result and all involved in the QUEST process.
ESBC Sports Development Team are now planning to improve the score over the next 2 years, by working their way through the QUEST improvement plan, with an overall aim to stay in the top 10 Sports Development Teams in the country.
