Promising leaders participate in the young netball organiser's course
School pupils in the North Stoke partnership were given the opportunity to attend the young netball organiser’s course, which was held on the 14th/15th October at Fenton Manor Sports Complex. School sports co-ordinators Claire Montifroy and Liz Garrity co-ordinated the course for over 60 girls, years 9 -11.
The course emphasised leadership and its overall aim was for the young leaders to organise a high five-netball tournament aimed at primary school children, years 5 and 6. The young leaders played an important role in co-ordinating and organising North Stoke's high five partnership tournament.

Leadership skills
Ice breakers, warm up and cool down and the purpose of these
Skills in Netball, progressing skills and relating to a game situation
The game of high five netball – rules, differences and why it exists
Planning skills sessions for primary school children
Umpiring the game
Practical game situations
Tutor eligibility: A teacher, School Sports Co-ordinators, level 2 coach or England Netball accredited tutor.
