Sports Clubs - have your say!
The Government has asked CCPR to conduct a review into regulatory burdens affecting sports clubs. They are going to dig down into the red tape and bureaucratic burdens, which prevent you from delivering sport, and generally drive you mad. They want to know about the red tape that tangles you up at your sports club.
Give them your views via their short online survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/RBR - everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win football tickets for England v France at Wembley on November 17th or Rugby tickets to see Scotland v South Africa at Murrayfield on November 20th!
Once they know more about the burdens affecting sports clubs (thanks to your help!) they will look to make suggestions on how they can improve the situation for voluntary sports clubs. The findings will be presented to the Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, in February 2011.
What else are they doing to gather evidence?
Regulatory burdens is a fairly broad topic so to make sure they unpick it properly they are gathering information in all sorts of ways:
Sending out postcards to sports clubs for a straw poll response on the top three burdens,
Holding workshops to discuss different key burdens
Inviting experts to speak with them
Receiving paper submissions
Compiling case studies and visiting clubs
And, as mentioned above conducting their quick online survey which is a great place to have a good old moan about red tape - http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/RBR
