Staffordshire FA achieve the Foundation Level of the Equality Standard
Staffordshire FA are pleased to announce national recognition as a equitable and committed organisation in ensuring Football For All.
The National Standard for Equality is a nationally recognised framework that assists County Football Association’s with embedding equality at the highest level of their organisation as well as communicating and sharing that commitment with its staff and its partners. It also provides a framework to review how Staffordshire FA is organised around equality in relation to its workforce, policies and procedures and to identify areas to strengthen, to ensure that
it is legally compliant whilst being engaging of our rich and diverse communities. It has four levels – Foundation, Preliminary, Intermediate and Advanced.
An integral requirement for the standard is to have demonstrated commitment at the highest level. The Board of Directors oversees all Equality and Inclusion work with Matt Hancock the lead officer in achieving the award. The portfolio was approved and the award of the Foundation Level of The Equality Standard given to Staffordshire FA in July 2010.
Staffordshire FA will continue to thrive to ensure Football is accessible for all individuals across the County and will actively look to develop their skills further in achieving the Preliminary Level of the Equality Standard over the coming months.
